2008 yılı başlarında Barış OKTAY ve Bahadır YÜCEKAYA önderliğinde bir araya gelen SuNriSe, ilk çalışmalarına FuNKeSTEiN adı altında başlamıştır. Kurulduktan yaklaşık 3 ay sonra SuNriSe ismini alan grup; Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul ve Funk gibi çeşitli müzik türlerini sentezlemekte, global melodi ve ritim evrimini özümseyerek, müzikal anlamda dünyadaki değişim rüzgarına ayak uydurmaktadır.

SuNriSe, kurucularının yanı sıra Çetin ARSLAN, Fuat KARAKOÇ, Ufuk ÇEPİK ve Onur AVDAN ile ilk stüdyo çalışmalarına ve performanslara başlamış; bir süre sonra Onur AVDAN'ın gruptan ayrılması ve Burak ÇETİNKAYA ile Umut GERÇEK'in gruba dahil olmasıyla bugünkü kadrosuna kavuşmuştur.

Birçok sanatçı ve grup ile birlikte bir süre profesyonel anlamda çalışmış olan grup üyeleri, kendi oluşumları için bir araya geldikleri SuNriSe isimli gruplarıyla, İstanbul'un önemli ve seçkin sahnelerinde heyecan verici performansları sayesinde kendilerini ispatlamakta ve bar programları ile konserlere aralıksız olarak devam etmektedirler.

In the early 2008; SuNriSe, come together on the leadership of Barış OKTAY and Bahadır YÜCEKAYA, started its initial rehearsals under the name of FuNKeSTEiN. The Band, being given SuNriSe as a name approximately 3 months later from its foundation, synthesizes the variety of music kinds such as Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk... and keeps up with the musical wind of change by internalizing the evolution of global melody and rhythm.

In addition to the founders, SuNriSe started its early studio works and performances with Çetin ARSLAN, Fuat KARAKOÇ, Ufuk ÇEPİK and Onur AVDAN. After a bit of time, Onur AVDAN's leaving, Burak ÇETİNKAYA and Umut GERÇEK's joining SuNriSe gave the current shape to the Band.

The group members, worked professionally with a good many of artists and bands in advance, demonstrate theirselves thanks to their thrilling performances on İstanbul's important and outstanding stages and keep on giving concerts with the name of SuNriSe, which they came together for their own formation, without break.
